"I haven't taped any of his talks, and apart from that I do not want to be associated with any anti-Shibendu characters who engage in mud-slinging."

You certainly do not need any associates for your mudslinging Hendrik, you are doing a fine job by yourself.

Let me add a few things in defending a man that has given unconditionally to me, and allot of other people as well, and explain something I once said that Hendrik is trying to get milage out of.

Shibenduji was not "forced" to do anything by his father. He was asked and the choice was his, as it was his sons, when asked.

Yes, I did once say that UG was a shoddy little fellow and regret saying it, especially after I began viewing his videos. I see him as a wonderful man, delightful and although his words are direct, his actions and expressions are not mean spirited and are often playful, which is lost in print. I was wrong. Shibenduji on the other hand is almost always very serious when he is teaching.

Gurus have often been strict and aware that their time with students is limited and make the most of it in constant teaching in order to get the point home. If one does not want to be shown the truth about oneself (ego) do not engage in a relationship with Shibendu Lahiri. On the other hand, when hanging with Shibenduji, I have actually fallen on the floor, not being able to breath, laughing so hard, due to some of his actions and light hearted conversations. He enjoys laughter very much.

Yogananda spoke about the barbs of his Guru, and if I am not mistaken Sri Yukteshwar had mentioned about how tough Lahiri Mahasay was at times.

As far as Osho, Shibenduji use to visit him before he (Osho) went to America. He was very fond of the wisdom found in Oshos books as are allot of people, and Osho once spoke to Shibenduji about his experiences. This was before Shibenduji was asked to become a teacher of Kriya, if I am not mistaken. Shibenduji also use to visit both Krishnamurtis briefly while he was still raising a family. He is a lifetime member of the Krishnmurti Society, or whatever it is called, in India.

Yogananda also use to visit different Gurus as a student, as have other teachers in their student phases. Indeed Shibendujis instructions to me on the issue, without asking, was to visit different places but not get involved.

Maybe there is a misunderstanding about the continuing of the family lineage. Shibendujis son has agreed to continue the lineage.

I find Shibenduji very tough on the "ego" and I know some people do not like it and need more space. For those people there are other teachers.

Shibenduji has explained samadhis very well and I think it is in accord with the Yoga Sutras, which he has been writing a partial commentary on.

As far as the message changing, I don't think so. There are different personalities and methods of expressions for sure. I have never heard him say anything that would give an impression he thinks he is a Christ. This seems to be something taken out of context. He was probably talking about the universality of the message
