You got it kind of right. The first episode that was aired though was never cut down from two hours. It was filmed after FOX rejected the original 2 hour pilot. I don't know any way currently to get the REAL first episode, but FOX has said that they will air it, in its entirety as a "special" sometime in December. I won't even get into how I think that was an incredibly stupid move...not airing the first episode first! Oh, wait. I just did!
