The Rebel Lands did not provide the best environment for those of pure heart, though the company wasn't exactly horrible. However, boredom was always lurking nearby, ready to pounce and smother anyone who had no protection against it. Now was one of those times. The chestnut femme was wandering aimlessly about, hoping to catch some glimpse of Tori, the mare she had somehow missed all through her captivity. Russet strands, threaded with gold, swept against her mahogany flanks, kissing her hocks with every step. Her attic was held aloft, the carriage of her cranium allowing her visionaries to easily traverse the landscape. Soon enough, the gilded mare came into view, a sight that elicited a joyful nicker from her bronzed friend. Ivory dipped stilts increased their pace, carrying her to Tori's side at a robust canter. Her elation was short-lived as the still-born colt was spotted. It appeared that Tori had given birth in the Rebel Lands after all and the occasion hadn't been a happy one at that. However, one must look for the silver lining and there it was in the form of a fiery young filly, the flicka remaining close to her mother's side. Sorrow-filled orbs conveyed her condolences where words would not suffice while her muzzle bestowed a gentle nudge on Tori's shoulder. Understandably, Tori seemed somber, even depressed. Was the colt's death the only thing that weighed on her mind? Annalee didn't know the answer, nor would she pry. If Tori wished to share then a willing ear was waiting.
