-Phil. war is the most forgot about and longest 14 years

-at least 50,000 philipinies died
-u.s. occupiers faced brutal guerrilla tactics by philipinies

-leader of the rebellion movement
-he claimed head of government
-MacArthur & others took measures against guerrilas
-Guerrilars were not treated as prisoners of war but as murders
-american soldiers went through and destroyed towns and killing citizens
-one of the most bloodiest conflict in us his. at the point
-1 person died for every 5 wounds
-capture eentire island
-capture Aguinaldo signed document saying for his followers to stand down
-William Taft became govener

*Growing Econimic dependence
-we gave filipinos roads,schools,bridges,sewers,public health system& reforms in administration & financial
-philippine economy:fishing,agriculturre,timber,mining
-islands became dependent on american markets
-july 4, 1946 islands gained indepence
