Subject: My experience

I first ran across the 1 Iron Golf website last November and have visited it regularly ever since. I didn't pull the trigger on a set of clubs until last month and I got the used-demo full set of irons plus a #3 wood and driver.

I followed the Playability-Tips that came with my clubs to the letter and took four trips to the driving range before playing a round of golf. As David Lake states in the Tips it takes a few of these range trips to get used to using the same swing and set-up with every club and at first I lost some distance like he said you would initially. By the third trip to the range I was starting to really get the feel and timing down for these clubs and had gained back my old distances plus a few extra yards. The biggest change I noticed was that I wasn't miss-hitting any of my shots where I could always expect about 20% miss-hits with my old long irons. By my fourth range trip I was hitting the shots of my life - high, long, and straight.

My first round of golf was an eye-opener as I was nailing my shots straight at the pin but was hitting the ball too far. I went down one club on all my approach shots and everything dialed in. I ended up matching my best round of 77, something I haven't been able to come close to for a number of years.

I can't begin to tell you how excited I am about my new golf game and my 1 Irons. I can only say thank you Mr. Lake and 1 Iron Golf.

Roger

My experience exactly! Ball striking and overall game has gotten better with every round I play just like David Lake said it would as my single swing becomes more and more ingrained.

Congratulations, Roger! What a tremendous start with your new clubs. Here's to even more and better!

I'm finding that while I still need to work on my swing (and I can't imagine that ever changing), I'm paying more attention to strategy and the course itself now, and less on the mechanics.

Looking forward to your future posts.

This seems to be a common thread and was exactly the same with me. I started out slow and then started shooting lights out golf with my 1 Irons. If you buy a set of these clubs make sure you read the Playability Tips over and over again and follow precisely what they say. If you don't you'll be wasting your time.

I wish I'd bought these clubs five years ago. Since this summer I've dropped 6 strokes from my game (after 10 years with no change in handicap) and I'm nailing every club every time. Great clubs!!

After playing golf for over 40 years I'm finally playing with a set that fits me. My 1 Irons are the answer to my golfing prayers and I'm playing the best golf of my life. Thank you Mr. Lake.

BTW - your customer service is beyond compare.
