Subject: First round with 1-irons

Hello everyone
I just purchased the 3-lw set and a driver. I got them Tuesday, and went straight to the range with my 3 iron. What a disappointment, I could not hit it straight or far. Went back Wednesday with the same result. But then Friday I started to hit some straight long balls. Not every shot but sertenly a big improvement ( it was a matter of finding the right distance to the ball).
Today I played my first round (I know it's to soon ). I did not make a great score but that was due to my chipping and putting, not the 1-irons. I had so many great iron shots from fairway. I used my 3 iron 3 times, and every time the ball flew about 200 meters (218 yards) and straight. One of the shots was a bunker shot, I landed on the green. I will go to the range this winter and get real comfortable with my new irons. Cant wait till spring. I know I will lower my HCP then.
