Subject: OOPS!

Though you may get a kick out of this.

Standing on the tee of a 135 yd Par 3. Pull out my 8 iron and put a nice smooth swing on the ball.

Shot looks good... A little low... Flies straight over the flag, through the trees, over the next fairway, into the side of the canyon.

Here is a tip. Make sure that you put the correct covers back on your irons. Sometime during the round I had put the 8 iron cover on my 4 iron! With single length irons it's not easy to see the difference standing over the ball.

Todd,

Excellent story! But I must confess that I have been guilty of this myself.

Actually David in retrospect that shot has helped me quite a bit.

Being fairly new to these clubs (love them by the way) I still have a tendency to miss-hit my 3 and 4 Irons every once in a while. Old habits dye hard. I still tend to put a different swing on the 3 and 4.

That shot was the best 4 iron I have ever hit. Long, straight, nice flight. Why? Because I thought I was hitting my 8 iron.

Same swing for every iron! Just need to get that through my head!

Todd
