Subject: finally showing some progress

Well it's been a long time coming (well, a couple months, really) but I think I'm finally starting to reap the benefits of the 1 Irons. (Generous credit also goes out to my private teacher of the Graves Golf system, who I've seen a couple times now.) In the 4 years or so I've been playing, I've never thrown together a great round of golf because of HUGE inconsistency problems in my swing, but that may be changing, and if there's one thing that 1 Irons offer it's consistency.
Today I went out to my local par 62 course, didn't lay hands on my [brand name] driver, and just focused on my 1 Irons. 3 of the first 5 holes I'd rather not mention (which I think is entirely due to hitting ZERO balls beforehand, a lousy idea) but after I got into the swing of things I was playing inspired golf, by my standards anyway. By the time I got rained out through 14, I had 6 pars and 3 bogeys, which were mostly due to 3 putts. If I had taken the time on the range to make the adjustment I made during play, I'm sure those numbers would have been even better. Might not have been Torrey Pines level play, but this course is very tight and hazardous compared to bigger courses. It made my day.
Incidentally, this was also the first day I've ever played ANYWHERE from the back tees. Take note, anyone who doubts that shorter long irons can cut it. On my best shots today I was able to pop my 3 and 4 irons out well over 210 yards. Believe me, having the exact same setup every time really lets you build confidence to reach your swing speed potential, while staying in control because of the club's length. Thanks 1 Irons!

Paul,

I am glad to hear of your progress. A few golfers can pick up a set of 1 Irons and hit them right off the bat whereas others need a little more time before everything starts to click. However, once it does it just keeps getting better.
