David,

1 Irons cannot help your lack of wrist hinge due to arthritis. However, they can help to improve your distance over conventional sets of clubs through consistent solid center-face ball contact. As well, since the strength of the 1 Iron Golf System lies in the use of only one swing, swing posture, and ball position, the more you play the better your ball striking becomes.

Dave is right on the mark,
hitting the sweetspot is the
thing. ive had my 1irons about 2 months and am wearing a nice small shiny spot on them [in the sweet spot]
my distances have increased...m
