Subject: Just pulled the trigger on a new set!!

I just ordered a set of 1 Irons (3-PW). The theory just makes too much sense not to work.

My freshman year of high school I used my dad's old set of '70s era blade golf clubs. My best club in the bag was a 7-iron. As a sophmore, I borrowed my dad's clubs because he noticed I was starting to get better. Again the best club for me was his 7-iron. Then in my junior and senior years I used a set that i bought and assembled myself from Golfsmith. I made them a 1/2 inch longer because I thought at the time that a longer club would give me more distance. Well, you guessed it, the best club for me in the set was the 8-iron!! I probably had a 5-7 handicap my senior year. Now 15 years later, and having read about the same-length irons, I am going to do it and see what happens to my game. I played golf very sparingly after high school. Last summer I entered scores into oobgolf.com as well as three more scores this summer. Calculated handicap equals 19.7 and my stats are 47% fairways and 12.8% GIR after 9 rounds of golf. I hope to add reports on how the new clubs affect my game!

This is a question for Customer Service or for someone who has ordered these clubs before. How long does shipping usually take, just anxious and wondering when I should expact the set of Irons. I was billed yesterday

Thanks!

As per the "Ordering" page of our website: Since we custom build all orders we require 10 business days from the date of the order to the date of shipping.

Fedex just delivered clubs today. The clubs look beautiful and feel very nice at address position. The wife invited friends over after work for drinks and barbecue. How mad would she be if I didn't show up because I was at the driving range? I will be hitting them tomorrow for the first time and reporting shortly after.

I have a 38 inch WTF. What would be the length of my irons, fairway woods and driver?

Thanks,

Paul Shanklin

First day at the range. Had the most trouble with the 3-iron and PW. Even at 50% I had a hard time not pulling the ball. 4i-9i I was able to work my way out of pulling it. After reading through david's booklet, I think I had my hand too far in front which was closing the clubface.

Well, we will see how tomorrow goes with the 3/4 shots.

Just finished day two on the range following David's playability tips. I hit each club better than I did the day before. The 3i and the PW were still the toughest tohit, but both improved over day one. Took a break to watch the British Open wrap-up and then decided to play 9 because the course was pretty empty.

I am not the golfer that scores a PB with 1 Iron golf like some of the other testimonies. I did feel good out on the course with them though. I made good contact even on uneven lies because my body and hand-eye coordination is gettinga feel for how far the club head is away from my hands, body, head. On two holes I hit over the green; once with a 6i and once with a 5i.

Game is moving in the right direction after day 2 even though final score was right with my average.
