Subject: Whar is everbody?

This year's first frost happened this morning!! It's 32 degrees at my place! I took last week off and visited my Mom in Alabama. Yep, I finally made it down there between the storms and gas shortages..... We are still having spot shortages in my area. Hard to believe, huh? The fellow that rents her farm always has me a bushel of sweet potatoes every fall. They are better this year because they got some rain. I made it down there without a hitch. Great weather, and traffic was not that bad. Though I did get into some slow traffic through the western part of the state crossing the mountains. There was a couple of pickups with cattle trailers full of cattle that averaged about 25 miles per hour.. but, that could have been one of my steaks on one of those trailers, so I just sat back, and idled along in second and third gear...
