... same as always. Can't afford to go anywhere... like SOME people!!! :D

Glad you had a good visit. Alabama... waaarrrrmmm!

It's FREEZING up here!!! We're slightly further north (about 10 miles) than where we were, and higher hills, and it's definitely colder. This morning we had a real good frost out there... the fields were so white with it that it looked almost like it snowed! Some of the plants in the flower beds succombed to the frost. Luckily, my horse's water bucket wasn't froze over. I had the screwdriver all ready to break up ice. But I didn't need it. At least, not yet. :D According to the DJ's on the radio, it was 31° at 6:30 this morning. I saw on a weather map that it's supposed to get down to 30 tonite. BRRRRR! It's not winter yet! What gives?!

The leaves are now past their prime. The colors are still pretty, but several trees have already lost their leaves. I'd say the tree outside our door, which has real pretty crimson color, has lost about half of its leaves. Unfortunately, the foliage show doesn't seem to last too long. A week or two at best. This year it was beautiful around here, though.

And it's time to get fuel oil. Ugh. I'm not looking forward to payin' for that! Well, time to go do more chores... sounds like the dryer just finished. :D
