Yes Geoff, I think the game last week is one that we would want to forget. Maybe we lost momentum through not playing the week before, due to illness and injury.
It was one of those cold, wet games where every ball seemed to bounce to the opposition.
However, to be fair, Ilkeston are a good team and their defence was solid. They put together some lovely passing moves and when the goal came, it was a cracker, curling outwards and upwards.
The last 10 min was a case of Il'son keeping possession, but at 1-0 up, tactically you could not blame them.
It was a hard, sporting game and on the day, the better team won.
We know Chessy can play better than this and certainly will do so.
Talk to you again sometime.
