 Great points.....and since you put them in numerical order Ill respond in kind.

1) The City has raised water,sewer, garbage "TAXES" i think 3 times since Mayors Fields ,Dupree and Deslatte took over. They have attempted 1 tax election that went down in flames. Ironically they attempted to raise taxes AFTER they gave themselves raise. And since we are remembering...DID OR DID NOT the MAYORS say that if the tax was not passed that we would lose fire , police protection and that other services would be cut and employees let go? Yes or NO ? Check the town talk. I saved the articles. AND after the tax lost did not the Mayors smilingly announce serveral months later that in fact...in FACT they had hired more police and firemen and given them all raises? And didnt the Mayor announce MORE raises for staff and NEW staff members? These are not OPINIONS..these are not accusations ..these are facts. Tell us a lie once and shame on you ..tell us a lie again and shame on us. This type of FACTS will be widespread should another election for tax hikes be attempted.
2) Mayors and counsel gave themselves a raise RIGHT AFTER GETTING ELECTED AND REELECTED...look it up. Since you seem to KNOW or have benefited from this tell me this. DID OR DID NOT THOSE PEOPLE WHO VOTED THEMSELVES A RAISE KNOW HOW MUCH THE JOB PAID BEFORE GETTING ELECTED????? Unbelievable, VOTED THEMSELVES A RAISE...and THEN said we were in Dire Fiscal straights.....its a FACT. And the amazing thing is that some of the very same people who elected Deslatte and Fields based upon FRED giving himself retirement money and other financial benefits are the VERY SAME ONES WHO BENEFITED THEMSELVES WITH RAISES AS SOON AS THEY GOT IN...Hypocracy? AND They also voted raises for other "appointees" Look it up in the town talk.

3)And its not a "personal attack " when a taxpayer asks what the qualifications or lack of qualifications are of someone who lives by the very tax dollars that we pay. ITS only personal as it relates to spending our money foolishly for politics and then asking for more. Question....What exactly IS Duprees background? WHERE can we get a copy of the job description that was written before he was hired?...WAS THERE ONE? How many other STAFFS has he been head of before being rewarded by the Mayor? How many other administrative positions? IS THIS THE FIRST???? What is his educational background? What is his Work history? Does he even live in Pineville? WAS His job CREATED and then he hired? OR visa Versa? Wasnt DUPREES previous experience selling radio ads and acting as a Political expert for the very Mayor who created a job for him?Who held this position BEFORE Dupree? NOT PERSONAL JUST FACTUAL. Maybe you know the answers and can inform us I gather from the tone of your response you are very aware .

4) Nuts and Bolts? Well try responding to those nuts and bolts 1-3 And while you are at it explain to us all the wisdom of the bike track eyesore that greets everyone as they drive over the bridge. Nice trailer . HOW MUCH did the city spend for that? ..and before you go saying cleco this or so and so that..Didnt the city pay money for that "recreational area" which I think is built over the old Land fill? AND who exactly runs it? There are more nuts and bolts we can talk about if you would like but how bout them to start with.? ITS ABOUT THE MONEY...Yours Mine and how THEY want to take and spend it. By calling me "JOE ANYBODY" I sense that perhaps you either work for the city or are one of the Chosen ones who seek to raise my taxes or spend more of our money. Its not PERSONAL its about the MONEY.
