Subject: 18' Chris Craft Sea Skiff

My engine was taken out of my boat and I am looking to replace it with a Chris Craft engine with more power. What other engines typically fit the mounts of the K engine? Any advice about the transmission replacement or solutions to problems i am going to run into?

Tom:

I saw your message and had to reply, what kind of horsepower are you looking for? My family owns Custom Marine and Machine and we specialize in antique and classic marine engines. Mark turns 95Hp C.C. K's into much more with minor exterior alterations, so it will basically look stock but will run like a KBL. If you want more information on this please give Mark a call at 989-732-0909est or email him at mark@customclassicmarine.com

Best Regards

Dear Tom, any american made Chevrolet, Ford, Dodge, V8 engine, etc will fit on the Sea Skiff engine stringers. Plan A: call Casey Dehollander @ CD's Engines in Michigan 616-662-1553 & tell him what you are trying to accomplish. He is the best engine man you will ever meet in the boating industry. Plan B: Purchase a new low performance Chevrolet 350 long block & ship it to CD & let him set it up for you. That will save you tons of time & $. Good luck.
Been there done that. Joe
