Subject: info about a 30'??

hi all, hoping I can find some info here.

I have a late 60's (I think) 30' sea skiff, but I can't seem to find any hull numbers on it, so I can't identify the exact year.

I was told that the info should be on a plate on one of the engine hatches, but there's no plate there, the only thing that I can find is on the engine exhaust manifolds, identifying them as 283's.

Can anybody tell me where I would find the hull numbers and/or production date for this beast??

THANKS

Adam

The hull numbers appear in several places. If you pull the hinged part of the rear seat forward, there should be a number stamped in the frame member behind the seat baqck and just forward of the gas filler cap. Sometimes in the course of refinishing this area, however, the number is made difficult to read.

There is also a number at the very front of the boat, up under the deck. Usually this area does not receive any maintenance, and it therefore should be in good, readable condition.

And I think the number also appears in one of the beams that the engine is mounted on. Good luck.

numbers are stamped right in one of the stringers. I am restoring a 1956 30'open right now.
