Subject: 1950's? Chis-Craft, junk or treasure

Hello all, I tried one post earlier but it didn't seem to take so I'll try again.
I'm hoping to find info or interested party for what I believe is an early to mid 1950's Chris-Craft Runabout. I'm guessing it's 16'- haven't pulled a tape on it yet - and it looks to be complete with all hardware, flat head v-8, prop,I believe original trailer, ect. It appears to be a complete vessel, just the wood is all rotten.
Is the wood worth anything for templates for someone to build a new shell and reuse everything else or not? I'm not real sure what I've got here, but would like to sell it in the hopes that someone can bring it to life again.
I'm hoping to find some #'s on it and take photos in the near future to help find out exactly what it is.
Any info or help would be appriciated.
Thanks Dave

Hi Dave, where are you located? Does the engine turn over? If you get the number would like it also. Thanks, Faye

[> [> Personally I don't think any Sea Skiff is junk, LOL!! But I guess it depends on the condition, & whether or not the skiff is "too" far gone to be restored. I've seen lots of 60's skiff's, but not so many from the 50's....To me it would be a treasure, but I just love skiff's! -- Jennifer, 12:47:32 10/10/03 Fri (idac.netstar-usa.com/65.207.137.22)
