 The suggestion to reduce Ex-studs to 2-dance was definitely not posted beforehand. I'm on both bds and unidancesport, so I know. That said, Di is right that her original proposal was posted in advance. But she's wrong (I believe) to say that it is already passed into the constitution. There needs to be a second vote, unless there was a unanimous decision and a unanimous decision to pass it straight into the constitution, which I don't believe happened.
That said, I think it's a good idea, especially since the combined final remains a 5 dance competition, so ex-students retain the possibility to dance all five dances. They just need to make it through to the combined final - ie. top three ex-student couples. That should satisfy both ends of the spectrum.
