While I agree that it might be too late to do anything for this years IVDC, I can't quite see how you can "trial" that.

Do you want to have a RnR competition on the saturday, and then a trial RnR one on the sunday as well? I very much doubt that would work. Equally, if you just have an extra championship the next weekend, you're going to dilute attendence at both, you can't have two national championships in RnR or OffBeat.

This sort of thing you have to either do, or not do. If it doesn't work you go back to what happened in previous years, but I can't see how you can "trial" it. It has to be done properly for it to work, it's a risk, but if you just do a "trial" it is definetely not going to work...
