My worry with putting people like Sarah and Scott on as beginners is that it might have a detrimental effect on their results in other catagories. After all, as we all know to our cost, dancesport is subjective. Once a judge thinks of someone as 'an exceptionally talented beginner' will they not see them in that guise all the way through the comp? Particularly if they stick out like a sore thumb in beginners. This might lead to them being harsher on things that aren't perfect later on than they would be if they hadn't mentally pigeon-holed them already.

Alice :)
