The answer is nothing. Why? Because EADA has neither the inclination nor the ability to do so. It probably only has the rule in because it's olympic practise. But it has no way of finding out, and even if it did, it would have no ability to do anything about it, since the number of cases of abuse it would then have to deal with would be enormous. Which, of course, is not a problem at all.

As far as I'm concerned, the only thing that should disqualify you as an amateur is paid teaching. If you're doing it without pay, you are, by definition, not 'professional', but amateur. That's what the words mean! If you are just scrutineering etc, I don't see why you need to be a professional dancer, though if you were paid you would obviously be a professional competition organiser.
