What D-team match?

The whole point of the entire proposal is to move away from such hideously contrived and unbalanced concepts as 'the ABCD-team match' and move to a fair-for-all divisional system. The names of teams is irrelevant - calling something a D-team when there is no AB or C MAKES NO DIFFERENCE WHATSOEVER. There is no such thing as the D-team match.

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

I presume by this proposal that you intend to move away from the 2-division idea. I look forward to hearing how you intend to resolve all the problems from which it suffers, and how you intend to produce a valid scoring system (and I don't include the existing points system as being anywhere close to this). The system I have proposed is not compatible with a split team match.
