To quote the Beatles, it's a "long and winding road" I'd say the anger, etc comes from the basic human need to be heard and acknowledged.

Also, I really want to underscore my point that it is not the women's movement of the 2nd half of the last century per se that has hurt the cause of women (at least, not any more than centuries of cultural insignificance and domination.) In that respect, I think it has "advanced the cause" quite admirably.

Sure, our world is not a perfect one, but I don't think it was the feminists of the sixties that caused these problems. I think they are natural growing pains of a society still in the process of changing. A (whether you like to admit it or not,) society that has been male-dominated since the first pilgrims called it home, and Europe before that, and Rome before that. Do you get my drift?
