Subject: CALL WALL THICKNESS

I saw some replies to an earlier post that refered to using calipers to measure the wall thickness of the sides of turkey calls- but there was no reference to the thickness or range of thickness that was being sought. Do any of you experineced call makers have a rule-of-thumb that you shoot for in wall thickness? And also, do you taper the sides at the top of the walls and if so by about how much?

Thanks for any help in this area
Butch Adams
