Gary,

First thing I would do if I was not satisfied with the calls is contact the maker. If I had made you a call I would want you to be 100% satisfied and I am sure these two gentlemen would feel the same way. It is typical however for one side to sound a bit better than the other that is the nature of the wood. I have made calls that "Jim" liked the right side better whereas "Frank" liked the left side better. It is a matter of preference sometimes. Bottom line is that if you feel you have to alter one side, the sound bothers you too much. Contact them and see what they have to say. If they build a true custom call they will stand behind their work and they will make it right to your standards.

Let me know if I can help you out.

O. Steven
