Yes, it was. Funny thing she didn't have one single body guard. Those responsible for the secutity of politicians etc. said it's impossible to protect all of them. My mother thinks Anna could have had protectors if she'd asked or applied for them, but the way she was, she wanted to be like anybody else and be able to speak directly to people. But she wasn't just 'anybody'. It cost her her life. I wonder how her little boys are coping. How do children bear that someone chopped their mom into pieces... I also think about Lori Piestewa these days. Ok, she was a soldier and had to go to a war, but anyway; the children left behind... It's always the children who suffer most from what adults do, or don't do. Today my country votes if to join the European Monetary Union (funny thing to vote about something that was already decided when joining the EU; normally the EMU-question is no "if", just a "when"). No matter if yes or no, Sweden lost a valuable and competent person who could help and lead the country through the changes happening right now. Enough said. It's a beautiful and warm September Sunday and I'd like some of that light to shine through after all.
