Some people in Europe look at the colors of the leaves and call this "Indian summer". From what I've heard/read (don't remember which) they refer to colorful Indian face paintings. Ofcourse this doesn't have to be correct. I guess when people can't ask someone apropriate for an answer, they try to find logical explanations by themselves, unless they just drop the question. Hm, if this includes cultural elements alien to themselves, they probably do come up with quite funny potpourries, eh?

Here it's defenitely nothing negative, positive only I'd say, connected with beauty: warmth and colors. Just thought I'd ask as I counted on it might have something to do with positive stereotyping (any kind of stereotyping is negative though it may be called postive, right?). Last weekend we had +26°C/79°F, wore t-shirts and shorts and walked barefoot. Even my dear southener wasn't cold :o)
