Subject: Life Goes On

My husband called last night to say he'd be late coming home, but that I should be awake when he gets home.

He came home with one of the most beautiful kittens I've ever seen. We discussed getting another cat, but I told him it would be his decision this time. He wanted to get a cat similar to the Siamese mix we had before Sylvester. It has been so lonely without my sweet Sylvester.

Officially, she's called a "Birman white-toe blue," and she'll be 2 months old on Friday. She's a cream color with blue (grey) on her face, ears, legs and tail. Three of her paws are white. Her eyes are blue, but I suspect I'm going to really love these blue eyes.

Last night she slept on my chest, her head resting on my chin. Woke up this morning with her sleeping between us. She got up with us, used her litter box, ate, then explored the house some more - but she comes running back to me when she goes too far, lol. Her meow is more like a soft little squeak. Geneva is ecstatic to have a "little sister," and the kitten shows no fear whatsoever -- even though she's only the size of Geneva's tongue, lol. They are going to get along great.

She learns quick. She's been following me around the house, and now she's sleeping soundly on my lap as I type.

I'm in love already - can you tell?

Kathy
