Sounds like the time off will be good for his health, and maybe his back too, but it is still sooo "s**ty" for that company to treat their senior and experienced workers that way !! Someone with "pockets" should go after them for age-discrimination or something, yuuuuck ! :o(((

Sorry to hear about losing one of those few comforts [ie smokes], but really good to know the internet connection will survive -- we would hearitly miss you :o))

Hopefully the jobmarket will turn around soon, temporarily at least, since this IS an election year and the Shrub has to look good -- probably the timing on changing jobs isn't a bad thing either -- just got to get thru this dreary cold winter season -- can't wait for signs of spring ! :o)
