Subject: A little about me

I was hoping that this site would be a place where we could be comfortable in telling a little about ourselves and share some of our history with each other. So here is mine!
My Native name is Ta make wast'e winyan Good Earth Woman. I was born on the Standing Rock Reservation. I was raised by my grandmother with many aunts and uncles. My Father was a BIA policeofficer. I have 5 brothers and sisters and 11 half brothers and sisters. I come from a large family as you can see. I was raised in the country riding horse and feeding cows. I hauling water to cook and drink, and we chopped wood for heat. My uncles shot game so we could eat.
I was married three time, still married to my third husband for 16 years now. I graduated with BA in History/Indian Studies. I started Graduate school but got real sick could not finish. I moved back to the reservation about10 years ago and will stay until I die. I have four children, my oldest son will be graduating from AIAI in Santa Fe, second oldest is a cook went to school in AZ for cooking is married with one son, my youngest son lives only 100 miles away and is finishing school. My youngest and only daughter is at Haskell in KS going to school. I raise my granddaughter Skye Cante Zi, my daughter little girl. My husband teachs computer at the school here and I do work for the college. Why don't you share a little about yourselves. I would love hear about each of your lives.
