Thank you, Kathy. I didn't intend my original post to be a verbal attack on Kangi and I'm not sure why OPK took it that way. I went back and re-read what I wrote, just to make sure, and I still don't see it.

And I'm flattered that you think my post is worth passing out to anyone! Do you work with teenage girls? Are you a teacher? Social worker?

As for having a child at age 45, well, I was 27 when I had my first son. [Believe it or not, 27 was considered OLD at that time for a first-time mother. Boy, have things ever changed!] I was 30 when my middle son came along and 32 when my youngest was born. There was a huge difference in the physical toll I experienced in those three pregnancies. Only 5 years between the first one and the last one, but I sometimes wondered if I would survive that last one. It was so hard. Of course, I had two toddlers to chase around. That probably didn't help.

I couldn't do it at 45. Yikes! Just thinking about it makes me want to take a nap.

As for the teenage girls, tell them this sad story--A friend who works in OG-GYN recently told me about a single mom who just had her 7th baby. Seven kids by seven different men and by her own admission, ALL of these kids were her attempts to snag a man and get him to marry her. Man #7 took a hike as soon as she announced she was pregnant. Some people are slow learners. I feel sorry for those poor kids. Maybe she's a good mom, I don't know, but it seems like those kids are already headed down a very hard road.
