Tso,
Good morning and Happy New Year :o)
This is a lively and relevant subject to start the new year with, .... sheeeeesh !

I'm not saying I condone police violence and the rationalizations for it, or that I haven't seen it up front and first hand, but there is another side to the story -- even here in "countrified = backward/semi-Appalachin" upstate New York we have citizens at their wits end who commit what is called "suicide by police officer" taking hostages and going out in a hail of bullets .... yes, sometimes if they're lucky they can find an ex-wife or family member who can get thru to these guys and bring them in "from the cold", but more often hostages, bystanders, or even family members get hurt or killed in the process, and sometimes it all happens just too fast ....

I'm not sayin' police departments couldn't do better, just sayin' there's a cult of violence in the American psyche whether we're wearin' the cop uniform or not .... and we reap what we sow .... now if we could only find some new seeds and start raisin' some new crops :o) ....

peace,
sunny
