Subject: All 'new' engines are re- manufactured
In reply to: M3 Lemon 's message, "Need feedback to help me with Lemon!" on 08:10:36 11/10/02 Sun

I have had three 'new' engines in the last three weeks. the last is supposedly from the german factory, with even the block unused. My dealer explained that the only new replacement engine available from BMW is part number
11-00-7-831-914 rmfd engine. That is a long block, with head. I wonder if they have a different part number for a
new engine, with throttle bodies, etc, like we picture going into a new car on the production line?
