Subject: Dell CPx Laptop Screen Resolution Problem

I have a problem with my age-ing laptop. Recently the screen has decided, all on its own, to change resolution and only occupy the top left 75% of the screen. In the bottom 25% is a repeat of the top 25%, the left is a continual repeat of the righthand pixel. This is not only in windows but in the bios screen.

If anybody has any ideas how to fix it i would be most greatful.
