Soap Lake has a special charm all it's own that compares to none other. A place away from the thundering herds found in the cities, away from the noise, away from pollution, away from the fast pace, away from the plastic people. Preserve this precious gift of nature by complimenting it. Plastic posters, plastic people, swirling globby lava lamps are not quaint or natural. Soap Lake is rushing to fast to find that something. Quick fixes and gimmicks never last. Savor the flavor. The lava lamp theme is not the dream of the community, it is all wrong for soap lake.

At least the roll of toilet paper has substance, tried and true. No feasibility study needed. Who could be dumb enough to invest in something that has no plans to exhibit. All they show is a paper lava lamp that is someone elses design and patent. What proof does Blake have that a 65 foot giant lava lamp can be built that will operate and keep operating outdoors? NONE. The project is full of holes. I trust Haggerty Inc. Do not trust that anyone in Soap Lake has a clue about lava history and the formula used by Haggerty Inc. So get a bunch of people hooked in and hyped over a poster and you still are selling blue sky that you do not own.

A peon is born every minute...Indeed!!! In Soap Lake, a peon is born every second on Daisy Street. Don't be so hard on Blake. We all knows he just needs some psychiatric help. What's that term??Egotistical, narcissistic, conceited, excitable boy, out there. The list could go on and on..

A peon is born every day with a dream. That does not mean we all have to share in the silly dream. Sensationalism is the ticket, the game used by not so honest PROMOTORS who hone that form of art with a fine toothed comb. In the end, in the case of the giant lava lamp, the victims will be the soap lake taxpayers. Pity.

Hard to fathom city fathers in eastern washington would be gullible enough to not check out the history of lava before jumping on a careening bandwagon. Saddam & Hitler are two good examples of persons who had the ability to get the common mass stirred in their direction. It is not unusual and entirely possible that good people of small town origon can be easily mislead. I draw the comparison with historical figures to show that what is thought to be right can be wrong and what is promised may never be. History has proven this. Any project that is above board sould have all the necessary plans laid, all avenues already explored and verfied beforehand. Then and only then presented as a ready package to the City and community at large to view, accept or reject. Each and ever facet must be clearly defined. The giant lava lamp project is someone's fantasy. There is no foundation. There is nothing stationary. It is a like a grab bag, never know what you will get. Never believe everything you are told. Better luck putting your money in a slot machine, if it does not happen to work, the house gets your money but you can get it back by ringing the casino bell. This lava lamp feasbility study will eat money and not guarantee a return back if the thing fails. So really what Mr Blake wants right off the bat is for the people and the city to fund a study to find out if this "when we build it they will come" dream really can be built. In better circles it would be called a SHAM. A NO PLAN. Would I recommend this backdoor route? That would be a no.
