Re: THE SOAP LAKE CURSE HAS NOT BEEN BROKEN -- No name, 10:53:31 07/21/03 Mon
In simple terms, the Superior-Powers-That Be, Soap Lake Whiteman, did not like the REDMAN drinking FIREWATER. Ran them off or arrested them. MANY WHITEMAN have been seen drunk in CITY PARK, their foaming pour flowing from iced coolers tucked away inside their tents, cars & Rv units; they drink in a no drinking zone out of foam-covered cups. This TURN YOU BACK APPROACH can ONLY be considered as a DOUBLE STANDARD. What was not GOOD for REDMAN is GOOD for WHITEMAN. SOAP LAKE VIOLATED the Indians. Discrimination, racial in nature. How many white drunks have you seen being arrested in Soap Lake City Park during City permitted festivals? TOO MANY TO COUNT.

Too many to count? Check out the public records re arrests made in Soap Lake. Soap Lake Police Blotter appears in the Grant County Journal after each and every event held in Soap Lake Parks. Little mention if ever of drunk in public or violation of City Ordinance re drinking on City Properties. What does that tell you? Drinking undercover is the name of the game! Turn your back!
