Soap Lake has a 25 foot tall Giant Lava Lamp poster affixed to a private building. "Were making progress," says Brent Blake who owns the building where the poster is hanging. Why would he, the creator, not care to foot the bill for the poster affixed to his building? Blake, an architectural designer also wants to use other's money to design and build the lamp. A SWEET DEAL FOR WHO. EH? Any lummox knows better than to claim 2000 were lured to Soap Lake. The infamous LAVA LOVE EVENT did not lure "Thousands". HEH TEAM... REALITY CHECK TIME! EARTH CALLING!

The City Council of Soap Lake at their Wednesday council meeting on 07/16 approved FUNDING to pay for the Giant Lava Lamp banner and Love Run signs. Very considerate of the city council to spend scarce tax dollars on this private enterprise while turning off street lights, lay off police, get rid of ambulance. The Giant Lava Lamp Project will succeed in speeding up the town turning into a REAL GHOST town. And to think that some thought this goofball publicity stunt was DEAD on arrival.

Cost of the plastic banner was around $2000. Ever hear of any other distressed City co-sponsoring this kind of shit? A no-brainer.

Strange project to earmark monies for. City must have free money for any non-profit group and if not non-profit yet-- it can be run thru the Chamber books and filtered back that way. Seen that act before. How about a 25 ft. tall poster for all events at $2000 a crack? What the hell is this favortism shit. We can all say what we do is good for tourism. PLEASE!

If the CITY wants to be PARTY TO THE CAUSE without doing their homework they are up the creek without a paddle along with the ding-bat giant lava lamp idea. Maybe they all need to be replaced if they have lost their ability to reason.

The 25 poster is owned by the 2000 bikers who were never at Soap Lake, never registered for the run, never ran up the Grand Coulee. Just like the invisible Giant 65FT Lava Lamp, the 2000 bikers were never there. The Wenatchee World News Reporter must have written fiction passed for news at the New York Times and clearly ought to be challenged for lying and writing fiction. Shame on the WWN.

Shame on the conceptor who told the reporter that 2000 were lured to Soap Lake. This shit is getting too high for my biker boots and is way out of hand. Time to pull the plug.
