Support group-check :) If it's anything like SOS- sisterhood of Strider, then I'm there! :)

I don't belong to boards or surf boards (hey, I may a pun and I wasn't even trying) usually SB. Maybe that's why I'm so blissfully ignorant to most things and suffer from delayed response syndrome. I rely on others mostly for my information-dark alleys, trenchcoats and the like.

There is so much LOTR's fan fic out there that one must skim really. I usually read only Aragorn fics and usually just drama, not humor, seldom romance and even seldomer slash, though I have found one or two very good ones in that category. Then I limit my reading to a select few due to time constraints, so I do alot of skimming, following some stories for a few chapters that way to see if they show promise. I also read reviews. Perhaps I shouldn't let this influence me in my decision of what to read, but I find it helps me to narrow down sometimes what is mediocre from what is very good. This usually keeps me away from those who put down the character/actor, but who in their right mind would feel that way anyway? :) Yes, I have come across a few, very few who don't like Aragorn, but then I just set the Fell 9 loose to get them. :)

I think you'll find some good Faramir fanfic out there, and FFN has a search engine that will let you narrow down to stories just concerning him. I don't think you'll find too much criticism of the character because usually those who write for a character enjoy the character. Sometimes I will come across a fan fic however in which you'll totally disagree with how the other writer sees the character, and then I usually stop reading/skimming such fics. I find that alot with Enterprise fan fic in which they make Captain Archer too harsh, too wishy washy or just too darn incompetant. He is none of these IMHO. :)

Hope if you do decide to look into doing some reading, that you enjoy!
