Subject: Replacing the 4107 with a Beta 30 HP

The 4107 is out of the boat and going to replace with the 30hp Beta with 2:1 reverse gear. Propeller will be 14 x 9 RH Dyna-Jet 3 blade for increased efficiency and power.

I tore the cockpit out, it had too much bad plywood under the deck so access was easy with a chain hoist.

Replacing the 4107 with a Beta 30hp

Replacing the driveshaft which I thought was 1 1/8 but now that I have it out I can see that is 1 1/6.

So I wonder if the shaft is metric, say 27mm?

Then what about the Cutlass bearing?
