On my 31, the engine came forward and right out of the companionway, pretty easy.

We purchased Tivoli without an engine, however, we did put one in. Pretty straight forward... Went right through the hatch into the engine well. Lucky for us? the sink and cover for the engine was missing... We have since replaced and would have to remove that to get engine out.. But I dont think it would be that big of a deal.
