 I'm curious. Any updates on this story from two years ago?

Jack White might soon be working with…Buddy Holly?

That surprising news comes from Chris Difford of Squeeze, who’s a member of the Buddy Holly Foundation. He tells the BBC that the foundation’s Peter Bradley Senior met with Holly’s widow, Marie Elena, recently, and she turned over some tapes she’d found in a cupboard. Difford says, “[She] revealed six reel-to-reel tapes. Three of them were demos of Buddy Holly stuff, which no one’s ever heard. And the other ones were recordings of him at the [London] Palladium. And I’ve listened to them and it’s the most extraordinary thing.â€

Difford adds that the foundation has been in talks with White about working with the tapes to release them.
