I did get a call from a collector out of New York and asked me what I believed it was. He came across a couple of 45s that exceeded the value of mine and he may be correct.

I will give my answer soon; however, keep in mind that Petty recorded a large number of recordings that ended up on 45s, and the majority of them sold less than 1,000 units during that time. They're the valuable ones. That's what makes coins valuable. Those dates that had less than 1,000 coined are valued in the thousands of dollars.

So, like in coins, the less than 1,000 pressed are the ones you should be checking out. The 45 I've chosen sold less than 1,000 units during its original release, and its value today in mint condition is between $5,000 and $6,000. You may have one of them. Hope you do.
