Hello Bjorn.

Ritchie recorded at Gold Star Studio with a full backing band behind him. Included in this, were:

Renè Hall, on Guitar.
Carol Kaye, on Bass.
Earl Palmer, on Drums.

All 3 were renowned and hugely respected session musicians. Palmer is considered to be one of the founding fathers of Rock N Roll. Whilst Renè Hall was responsible for the loose guitar solos forever recorded, on 'Come On Let's Go' and 'La Bamba'. And as for Carol Kaye, she had a hugely successful career in music, playing on thousands of records.
