It is hard to say which dose your wife should start to cut back on first...they are all equally difficult to cut, having their own issues; such as, cutting the morning dose will result in pain and anxiety increase throught the day, but cutting the evening dose will result in an increase in symptoms at night (and into the next morning due to lack to sleep). Your best bet is to talk with her doctor to create a plan of attack for lowering the medicine that will work the best for your wife. If her docs are like mine, however, and tell her to figure it out on her own, tell her to start VERY slowly...this is NOT a race...make SURE her withdrawals STOP before lowering again!!! This will REDUCE the severity of the next drop!! Also, please make sure she drinks plenty of fluids, as withdrawals can cause plenty of muscle pain/spasms as they make the muscle THINK they are dehydrated.

As your wife goes down on the steroids, you may notice a slight INCREASE in her side effects, but this should be temporary!! Her side effects WILL GET BETTER once she lowers her dose...it just takes time to get out of the system! She is very lucky to have such a loving and caring husband!!! Please feel free to write to me on here or privetly if you have any more questions and to let us know how she is doing!!

Ivy
