Oh boy do I hear ya about the swelling! Being on that dose being on the Cushing's...which is the swelling in the abdominal region and face...and yes even the extremities...there isn't much you can do to counter this except to WATCH YOUR SALT INTAKE!! I know that when I ate too much salt I puffed up like a balloon! Just making simple changes can make a HUGE difference! Switching from regular lunch meats to low sodium ones, going from soft drinks to water (or at least lower sodium alt.), choosing low sodium snacks, etc...reduce white flour if your tummy can take it. Keeping sugar levels even will help you too, since Pred can keep those high. I know it doesn't seem like much, and you won't see huge changes, but even a couple lbs of fluid can make you feel better :)

I know it's rough...but hang in there! It took 9 yrs before they found a combo that worked for me...now I am 20 mg and still dropping 10 mg every 3 weeks...staying at 10 mg for a while (because of a vacation LOL) and then going down slowly from there...The answers are out there!

Much love to you!

Ivy
