Tiffany,

Ok...Take a nice, slow, deep breath...and let it out even slower :) This is NOT a race to see who can get of pred the quicket...just the safest :) If you don't feel ready, then you are not. If your fears are coming from the impending drop, then just do it and get it over with. If they are not, just wait it out. There is no harm in staying on 2 mg another month if you have to. Is there any way you can speak to a psychologist/psychiatrist about the dose of meds you are on/kind of meds? He/she may be helpful in getting you off the prednisone. Beating the fear is the biggest battle for many of us on here!! For me, the fear of flaring up my asthma/stomach are worse then the actual drop (I say that now...but when I am going through the pain LOL...that is a different story).

I am having a tough time this weekend...I fell 2x yesterday on my BAD leg :-P The first time came as I was having a migraine and was VERY dizzy when going the bathroom, so I lost my balance and landed on my bad leg. The second time came when I was crutching into my grandparents' house after it had rained and I slipped in their garage (which has the door to get in their house) and fell right on my bad leg AGAIN! I was in SO MUCH PAIN I felt like I was going to pass out!! I honestly felt like my toes were going to explode...luckily I still have all digits attached LOL. Today was tough emotionally as it was my 24 yr old cousin's unveiling (the year after his death). My heart was breaking all over again...it really has been a long year without him here!! The car rides there and back were physically painful as well as it is an hour each way. I am grateful to be home in my bathrobe now...I will be going to sleep EARLY tonight!

I am praying for you girl...always!! Much love/hugs!!

Ivy
