I am down to 2 mgs a day, for the adrenals. I gained from 138 to 211 in a span of 4 months and had all the feelings that you had. All the pain, withdrawals and nausea is pure hell and there is no other way to describe it. My symptoms have finally subsided over the past 2 months and I am faced with yet ANOTHER disease caused from this nasty drug. It is called Dercum's Disease and I advise anyone who notices small tumors growing in the fatty tissue to have it looked into. It is a very rare disease and most doctors have NEVER heard of it. I am flying to San Diego to see Dr Karen Herbst, who is researching this disease on January 4th. Hopefully she can guide my pain clinic doctor on how to treat me. It is very, very painful and I have probably 200 and they keep popping up! Today I go in for nerve blocks. I have 2 on my spine causing horrid back pain. So, thanks again prednisone...you continue to destroy my life! I have tried to wean off the 2 mgs I am on, but everytime I go to 1 mg, I am crawling and feeling faint. I tried every 3rd day to take 1 mg, and that is out, so I guess I am stuck on 2 mgs forever.
