>Hi Kimberly,
Ivy answered your questions quite well. I would only add that your stomach fat is probably from long term steroid use and can be lost. I used sit ups and it helped me. I would also suggest a bone density test and eye exam to make sure there was no damage to your bones or eyes from the prolonged Flovent use. Diabetes 2 can be caused and is reversible as is many other possible side-effects. There is a list of nonsteroidal medications on our website and Ivy listed the two she has used and had good results from. I'm glad you are addressing this before you have had to go through the ordeals so many others have. Since steroids can change how our bodies metabolize sugar, reducing sugar and starches can help in reducing weight. if you discover that upon withdrawing from the flovent you start getting muscle cramping or joint pain it is part of the withdrawal sometimes, so drnking plenty of water can help reduce that. Hope you feel better and congratulations on discovering all this before real damage was done.
Best wishes
