Subject: Thanks!

Hi everyone,

Thank you to everyone that answered my asthma alternative post!! Big Ma...thank you so much for finding all that info for me! I have tried pretty much EVERY med on that list LOL...I used to take like 16 puffs of atrovent/tilade/intal/serevent LOL...you name it, I took it! I find that the only way atrovent works is with albuterol in a neb...my advair works ok and that has the serevent in it along with the steroid. I also take accolate (older brother to singulair) because singulair gave me horrible sinus headaches. It's really hard for me to find treatments that work because my main problem is the inflammation of that vegas nerve, not my lungs or bronchi (although my upper airways do swell up pretty good too). I do use a peak flow meter, but it is not digital. My normal is 400, but I start to feel it when I get to 350. When I am in an attack I barely hit 200. Luckily, my oxygen sats are always normal (between 97-100). I know that is because I can get that air to squeek in, I just have a REALLY hard time getting it OUT.

Becki...I am praying that your inhaled meds work for you and that the fires die out quickly up there in the north for you!!

Leslie, I appreciate the prayers!!! KEEP EM COMIN!! :-D

Lori...Thank you for your well wishes!!

UGH...another day indoors...I better get used to it....looks like I will be here for a while :-P

Love to you all!!

Ivy
