Avascular necrosis is what happened to my arm; it was triggered by the break. Almost an inch reabsobed itself in 4 mos. My dr used a bone graft from my hip plates/screws to hold it in place. I used a bone stimulator for 3 mos so the graft would fill in the gap. It healed beautifully except for the infection. Now it is almost as good as new.
